Growing Beetroot, also Beets

I LIVE IN A REGION OF THE PHILIPPINES WHICH IS VERY TROPICAL,MY WIFE SUFFERS FROM REALLY BAD ANEMIA AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT BEETROOT JUICE WOULD REALLY BENEFIT HER,I CAN HAVE THE SEEDS SENT FROM THE UK,BUT WILL BEETROOT GROW HERE ?

Hello, they do grow beets in Laguna area.. Please check out marketmanila.com's post about beets in the Philippines .. I initially meant to reply to this comment, I posted a new one instead.. good luck with planting, please do let me know if you're successful!
